You should have a toggle menu above the resolution setting that says
"Recommended" or "All". Make sure this is set to "All". This should allow you
to select the proper resolution. If "All" is not a choice or it already is set
to "All", then you may not have an option. The Duo Dock video is slightly
different from other Mac video ports for some reason. The Mac may be trying to
use its ability to "sense" the type of monitor connected and is getting
confused by the multi-synch adapter you are using. Since the Duo Dock is
pre-System 7.5 technology, it may not respond correctly to multi-synch
technology. I've noticed that using different multi-synch adapters from
different monitor manufacturers do not produce the same results (resolution
choices) when used on the same monitor and computer. Sony themselves told me
that they recommended the adapter with DIP switches because they were much more
reliable than their multi-synch adapters which are sold with their monitors to
reduce the per unit costs.

Good luck!
