It is not hardwired. The connector is like an Apple AAUI Ethernet adapter pin
connector, or a Duo docking connector, flat with 13 individual connectors
lining each side. This 1/2 inch long plug slides into a slot on the CD-ROM. So,
that's like a flat 26 pin configuration. I don't know if it is proprietary to
Sony, but I've never seen this exact type of connector before. Unless it can be
easily found, I think this end is equally as fruitless as finding a female
HDI-30 connector cable. I bought an inexpensive floppy dock to get a female
HDI-20 connector to make my own cable. Unfortunately, at usually over $100 a
pop, a female HDI-30 SCSI connector from a micro dock is a little prohibitive
to go this route.
