I also like the free Basic Black. It has an option for turning the
screen white rather than black, which requires the least power on an
LCD screen. No idea if it is OpenTalk compatible, but it doesn't
seem to hinder background downloads or slow down the computer, even
while active.
The control panel and source are available in a 106k package from the
HyperArchive. http://hyperarchive.lcs.mit.edu/HyperArchive.html and
search for Basic Black.
