I have the same experience:

>I have a GV on my PB2400 and I don't like it at all. It's really
>difficult to configure and when you install it, it puts all kinds of
>files all over the place. Every time they come out with an upgrade it
>takes me hours to get the thing working again. The modem I have is
>capable of 56k, but when I installed their latest software upgrade I
>can't get anything beyond 28.8

For faxing I recommend ValueFax which works on more or less any modem. It
doesn't look pretty (shades of System 7), but it is small and reliable.

Yours sincerely,

John Davis
