I also have a GV on my 2400, and do not use any of the software as it is
unneccessary for anything other than faxing. It is not required for
internet at all. Lastly, you have to be careful of EVERY installer in the
world placing unneccessary files in your system/hard disk. I recommend a
trial and error procedure to see which ones are necessary. But simple
intuitiveness helps as well. For example, if you have a Global Village
56K PC Card (modem only), you don't need any extension that has the word
Platinum, Gold, or PowerPort in it, nor do you need the MultiFunction PC
Card extension, etc., etc.
