I use the Farallon 10/100 CardBus card as well, but I have had the "CardBus Activation" process done by MCE. Works great! Before the "activation" I could use the Farallon card, but the machine would not start, restarted the finder when the card was inserted, and behaved erratically. If your machine is capable and MCE is offering, I would do the CardBus activation.
