I've had the conversion done on my PB 2400 and run a MacAlly USB card
for my scanner without any special actions or problems...

We (DuoList members) tried to profile what PB 2400s were CardBus
compatible based on Serial Number, but never got enough data points
to identify the non-Might Cat(Japanese) that might already be CardBus
enabled.

The other key element seems to be the logic board version you have.
At one time MCE thought they could only convert one out of the three
versions, but apparently they feel comfortable doing all of them now.
Pure conjecture, but it may be that some logic board versions are
'more compatiable' than others even before the conversion.

I expect Kevin and Arnie would know, but I doubt if it's in their
best interest to disclose too many details. ;-)
