Follow-up Comment #1:
duplicity creates a tempdir in the dir specified by --tempdir, or in one of
the normal temp directories as specified by Python's environment search
heuristics. All duplicity temp files are placed in the tempdir directory.
In the absence of --tempdir, Python searches for the temp environment based
on the platform.
