Follow-up Comment #3, bug #22021 (project duplicity):
Just to clarify although this is already closed, the changes to the tempdir
handling has to do with the way previous duplicity handled writing of files to
the archive dir, by clobbering the global.
The changes were made in relation to the overhaul of tempfile handling, no
longer requireing any tempfile clobbering.
(Besides being somewhat ugly IMO, it was also not thread-safe.)
