Follow-up Comment #10, bug #25696 (project duplicity):
I went to ncftp directly with pexpect, modeling it after the ssh backend
which has worked so well. The ncftpput/get/ls utilities had varying problems
with their command lines between the extant versions and it was like chasing a
ghost. I knew ncftp was stable, so that's what I used.
As to your problem, I test against ProFTPd 1.3.0 on Dapper, so that's not the
problem. If you would, please try this by hand:
$ ncftp -u user system
ftp> show
and check to see if 'autosave-bookmark-changes' is yes. If it is then that's
the problem. If you set autosave-bookmark-changes to no and remove
~/.ncftp/bookmarks, then it should work.
