I guess not, since I dont know what you mean. mythtv creates *.nuv files; these are mpg-in-disguise I guess, since dvbcut will read them, e.g. : ln -s xyz.nuv in.mpg : dvbcut in.mpg and then save the (video + 1 audio channel) as p.mpg This p.mpg plays perfectly in mplayer. How (and why ) would I 'remux' the MPG? > And how did you create the VOBs? I load the MPG file up into TMPGauthor, in which I dont apply any further edits, or change the audio in any way. TMPGauthor "converts to VOB" in that it creates an entire DVD structure from however many MPG files I give it. > I'm using a Windows software that came with my DVB-T receiver (Ulead > Movie Factory 3, aka Filmbrennerei 2), and my A&V are perfectly in sync > on the DVDs it generates. Does Movie Factory re-render the MPGs (other than just re-writing them as VOB) ? > > Incidentally: > > 1) sync loss: on the DVD eventually the video is progressively > > _delayed_, [.... due to loss of video info?] > No you're right. Most packets are video packets, so the probability that > the video stream is damaged is much higher. ... so why do I see the video stream being delayed? Hmmm .... I'll try another DVD authoring tool on a friend's machine.
