It seems that you've read my mind yesterday... :-))
wheel_incr_normal=-1
wheel_incr_shift=-25
wheel_incr_ctrl=-1500
is just perfect for me!
The direction of the scrolling when using the wheel was the first thing I had
a problem with... ;-)

PS: It's only a little bit "confusing" that the direction of the Alt-button is
not inversed... but I guess that's because of the way it's implemented... ;-)
