BTW, this was the printout of the two mplayer versions on the console

Official version from www.mplayerhq.hu:

MPlayer 1.0rc1-3.4.2 (C) 2000-2006 MPlayer Team
CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2500+ (Family: 6, Model: 10, Stepping: 0)
CPUflags: MMX: 1 MMX2: 1 3DNow: 1 3DNow2: 1 SSE: 0 SSE2: 0
Compiled with runtime CPU detection.

PATCHed version of DVBcut:

MPlayer 1.0rc1-3.4.2 (C) 2000-2006 MPlayer Team
CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2500+ (Family: 6, Model: 10, Stepping: 0)
CPUflags: MMX: 1 MMX2: 1 3DNow: 0 3DNow2: 0 SSE: 0 SSE2: 0
Compiled for x86 CPU with extensions: MMX MMX2 SSE SSE2

I think CPUflags is what mplayer has been detected... and he probes only what
is compiled in. Therefore the 3DNow-Flags are not set with Oliviers Version
and SSE is not available on my CPU!

ralph
