Thanks for the information! Will filters also be imported, so we don't
need to recreate them?

I wouldn't mind if this was the way it was, but I think a lot of
people on LJ would have that problem:  for example, when the new
profile was revised so that the last-updated information was at the
top of the page, many people complained, because they felt it was an
intrusion on their privacy. There's a risk under this system that
people will go back and login, and find out that the entry was
filtered and that they weren't included on the filter, for example.
