"Lots of other small changes" ?? Jim has a taste for understatement!
There's a lot more than just SSB allocation changes: -- Shifts in the 80 & 40 meter Novice Bands -- Expansion of code credit -- Limitation on vanity call filings -- New abilities to designate your call en memoriam -- A LIFTING of most of the "10 meter amplifier ban" -- Spread Spectrum allowed on 222 MHz -- Auxilliary Control allowed on 2 meters (Kenwood's Sky Command lives!) And more... every US ham should take a look at this document, because quite a few changes are about to hit the books! (When? 30 days after publication, as Jim noted -- so when are they going to be published?) This is going to be very interesting! (Discussion of these changes should, of course, take place over on DX-CHAT; I'm just amplifying Jim's announcement, as there's more to it than I first thought) 73, ron w3wn ------------------------------ From: Jim Reisert AD1C <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: 2006/10/11 Wed PM 01:22:15 CDT To: [email protected] Subject: [DX-NEWS] Changes to FCC SSB allocations http://hraunfoss.fcc.gov/edocs_public/attachmatch/FCC-06-149A1.doc band General Advanced Extra 75m 3800-4000 3700-4000 3600-4000 40m 7175-7300 7125-7300 7125-7300 15m 21275-21450 (no change) (no change) Lots of other small changes -- see the document.
