Does anyone have the details? Main question.....is all foreign
except Mexico and Canada going to remain equal whatever it is with a
reduced rate for the two mentioned countries??????
One ounce letters (i.e. what's relevent to hams):
Stateside: 41 cents
VE & XE: 69 cents
All others: 90 cents
IRCs: $2.00
Prices for M-bags and heavy card packages to distant buros or
managers are supposedly rising pretty steeply but I don't have the
exact numbers.
One of the postal employees told me they thought there was going to
be a different first-class rate for EACH COUNTRY.
Oh, man....words fail me. Banks have the right idea. Less tellers,
more ATMs. Gimme Automated Postal Centers and Click-n-ship any day. I
just wish I could have a home postage meter without paying a fortune
in monthly rental fees. If I could do everything I need to do at the
PO without ever interacting with a clerk I'd be one happy camper,
that's for sure.
Cheers,
Peter,
