These are great bugs, keep them coming! In this case, there are a series of different screen elements in design, which have to work together. The placement of one is dictated by the placement of the others. So, we won't be flexible in the placement of notifications.
I do think we should consider an audio complement to notifications, for those who depend on screen readers or for whom audio would be better than peripheral vision.
