When using MMTTY with DX4WIN for RTTY work, I found it cumbersome to use CTRL-T and CTRL-R to switch between transmit and receive. I'm now using a key remapping program called "Keyboard Remapper" to assign those keystroke combinations to single keys. For example, I'm using the numeric keypad "+" key for transmit, and the Enter key just below it for receive. I've tried several of the keyboard remapping utilities and this one seems to provide the best function and operational flexibility. For details and free download, here's the link: http://www.dev-labs.com/kr/index.html . The program is shareware, free for the first 30 days of personal use, $15 after that. Keyboard setup is not exactly intuitive, so if you decide to give it a try you can email me for some tips that will save you a lot of time.
