Writelog is optimized for contesting. So many windows are different for contesting than for dx logging, that it seems rather impossible to do both really well. I don't like Writelog for dx logging and it does not keep dx records, but it is a fine program for what is was designed to do, as is DX4WIN. The contest mode in DX4WIN is ok for occasional working in a contest to log a few contacts and takes care of dupes..

Just to switch on a LED!!! Why Dx4Win's programmers don't develop contest score capabilities to reach the top performance of the software? I think it would be better to use only one program then more than one (every contest have a specialized freeware software, or you must buy a new one)... I think it will be possible. Leo, IZ5FSA PS I'm a Dx4Win entuxiast user since release 4.5 !!! _______________________________________________ Dx4win mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win
