Mel, Yes, the contester need the special SW.
But the casual operator would like to take part in a contest, too. Casual operator give to contesters the points. That means he need to send and receive the RST or RS and the contest number or a contest code. Test please a CW contest with dx4win. My the ONLY problem of dx4win is that when I'am using the CW keyboard window so I must switch with Alt+K shortcut to the main window for write the codes to the CALL or Recvd or Notes lines. And again Alt+K shortcut back. And again and again. Or a trick exists? Who know any? For me the best and simplest solution would be to have the chance to activate the copy of the Callsign, rstS, rstR, Recvd (or other) field as a part of the CW Keyboard window. Enough place is there. The big grey useless zone is there. It will be great. Easy? I think yes. Then the casual contester will be satisfied too. Or not? 73 Milan, OK1FM >-----Original Message----- >From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >[mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Mel >Sent: Sunday, May 30, 2004 10:54 PM >To: 'iz5fsa'; [email protected] >Subject: [Dx4win] Contest capabilities. > > >>Why Dx4Win's programmers don't develop contest score capabilities to reach >the top performance >>of the software? > >Not a good idea for a few reasons... > >1.
