If DX4WIN can't determine the country from the callsign, the prefix will be blank. Try entering FR7AA/E or ZL4BO/C and see what happens. You can probably guess where these are, but the program can't guess. The same goes for the various X5-callsigns that don't count for DXCC. 73 - Jim AD1C ===== Jim Reisert AD1C, 7 Charlemont Court, North Chelmsford, MA 01863 USA +978-251-9933, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.us From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Feb 23 11:23:49 2005 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Floyd Sense) Date: Wed Feb 23 11:35:21 2005 Subject: [Dx4win] 6.04 upgrade problems References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> I understand, Jim. But - you're missing the point. I'll try to simplify it: If DX4WIN elects to CHANGE or BLANK any data in an existing log record, IT SHOULD SIGNIFY THAT FACT IN SOME MANNER. For example, the word ERROR in the comments field as it does with import errors, or ERROR in the country field - anything that is searchable so we can quickly locate the problems. I don't want the program to "guess" where existing log records belong. I want it to LEAVE THE PRESENT DATA ALONE. If I were entering a new QSO, I would immediately see the problem and correct it. However, when the only notification of the changes is that my totals counts change, that is unacceptable. With the current design, the database integrity exposures are not acceptable. 73, K8AC ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Reisert AD1C" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Floyd Sense" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, February 23, 2005 11:12 AM Subject: Re: [Dx4win] 6.04 upgrade problems > --- Floyd Sense <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > >> Now, here's the new problem.
