Jim and Floyd, Am I mistaken, or if Floyd had copied his DX4WIN.CTY file AND his .DXL file into the 6.04 save folder for DX4WIN 6.04 all would have stayed the same in his country count and listings?
Also if he had MERGED the Country files would he get the notices of the differences he is looking for? Jim, I for one really appreciate the time and effort you are taking into getting the CTY file up to date. This is an enormous project and one that I'm sure has lots of "what in the heck did I start this for" thoughts! <G> DX4WIN is one of the best logging programs out there and as such has a great deal of information the user needs to learn in order to get as smooth a transition to newer releases as possible. I am still learning all the intricacies of the program and have fought with my own lack of knowledge in getting some things done. Always remember to make a backup of all log data before moving on and you can always try different methods of upgrading to see which works best for you as well as returning to what you had before the upgrade. No one has to upgrade. Jim has a lot of good information on his web site and anyone making changes to his log or upgrading it, should take the time to read all the information they can find about the process before doing it. Thanks for all your help and work with DX4WIN Jim. 73, Wayne WA1PMA At 08:12 AM 2/23/2005 -0800, Jim Reisert AD1C wrote: >--- Floyd Sense <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > Now, here's the new problem.
