Not everyone has a licensed copy of Windows XP that can be installed. Say he
gave the old computer to another family member.

p.s. you can buy a full OEM copy of Windows XP Pro (full install, not upgrade)
for $139 at http://www.newegg.com/

The reason to migrate to x64 or Vista can be many but up to each and
everyone.

Generally is progress dificult to stop. I remeber the same discusions when
Win95 came.

For med came the difference when I started the PC with x64 for the first
time. Took less than 1/4 of the time just to boot. (clean install compared
to clean install). Then it only got better,,,,,

A main reason is also that my hardware is 64bit and to run it in
emulatormode WOW or what it is called is not apeeling.

DX4Win is the only soft that not work in x64 for me.

/Anders
