Hi Guy, Thank you for bringing out the steps but I hate to repeat myself. All this is clear and simple but it does not work because the information gets lost from the log through export-import and thus it can't be used.
I lose all the defined Groups and Selections. God knows what else (maybe SWL records, etc, etc). Thus this export-import is only useful for one thing as I see so far - checking the CTY file errors. That's it. I would love to get all this to Textpad and have fun with it but I cannot do anything useful with the results I get from Textpad. Waiting thus to have Paul fix this - I would REALLY love to have the option of SPLIT AT THE FIRST SPACE like described my some others. And option of choosing the delimiter. I have this problem that due to some earlier import/export I have already doubled the Notes of the Call so I hope that once this Split function is introduced there is also possibility to overwrite anything on the QTH field by doing it. Then I can first split off the double part with / delimiter and then split the remainder with first space and whatever goes to the QTH field will overwrite the previous values. That is my dream on that subject:) Another dream I have is to have functional Remove Duplicate QSLs button which is completely messed up now and deletes all labels when any QSO is confirmed in this band/mode combination. It should absolutely ignore the CONFIRMED flag and only look at the QSL sent and LABEL fields. I simply can't understand why it has anything to do with Confirmed flag and why this has been this way for many years and not fixed. Probably there is a reason. And one question: Is there any way to set default Report view? It always defaults to Logbook which is not what I like to use, thus one always has to change when starting the program. Quite inconvenient. Maybe the solution is to just edit Logbook report? 73 Tonno ES5TV -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of ON4AOI Sent: Sunday, August 09, 2009 1:33 PM To: [email protected] Cc: [email protected] Subject: Re: [Dx4win] Ver 8.01 issues Mel, Yep step by step would be a good start and always save with new name in case Something goes wrong you can always go back one step. With TEXTPAD you can select a part of the text where the changes Should be made only, not 100% bullet proof due different length but you can first Make instead of a space another delimiter afterwards you rearrange the txt to make that Delimiter be recognized like a tab , then it will be much easier to search and replace I am used to work with textpad for many years now and am very familiar with the possibilities Build it, you can even create your own macro´s in it Guy ON4AOI > -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- > Van: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] > Verzonden: zondag 9 augustus 2009 11:31 > Aan: ON4AOI; 'Tonno Vahk' > CC: [email protected] > Onderwerp: Re: [Dx4win] Ver 8.01 issues > > Dear Guy, > I think this will work as long as the QTH consists of just > one word.
