Further to the attached and thanks to the suggestion from Guy (ON4AOI) , I
think I've got it fixed. Here is what it took.

In XP, I went to the Device Mgr and in the Sound, video & game controllers,
turned OFF the Creative SB Audigy and M Audio Delta Audiophile cards. I then
turned on the K3 and mKII, launched Router and DX4Win and in
File/Preferences/Control confirmed that the microHAM CODEC was now listed as
one of the PSK sound cards. I selected it for both Input and Output, saved the
changes and exited. Now when I opened the PSK window in DX4Win things worked -
both Rx and Tx.

I went back to the Device Mgr and in the Sound, video & game controllers,
turned back ON the Creative SB Audigy and M Audio Delta Audiophile cards. I
had to reselect microHAM CODEC as the PSK sound card in DX4Win - it was still
listed..

There was however now a problem with MMTTY - I opened the MMTTY window, and in
the RTTY Control Panel, went to Options / Setup / Sound Cards and (re) selected
microHAM CODEC for both Rx and Tx.

Both PSK and MMTTY now seem to be operating properly.

In summary, need to ensure that the microHAM CODEC is chosen as the sound card
for both PSK and MMTTY.

Subject: Using PSK in Ver 8.03 - using K3 and microKEYER II

I'm having difficulty with using PSK from within DX4Win on one of my systems.
 - Let me explain

PSK in System A works ok - both Rx and Tx (as does CW, RTTY-FSK and SSB).
System A is an FT-1000D with a microKEYER II (FW 4.6) running on a Dell
Latitude D830 (Win XP SP3) - software is Router 7.7.0 and DX4Win Ver 8.03.

PSK in System B does NOT work - either Rx or Tx (although CW, RTTY FSK-D and
SSB are ok). System B is a K3 with microKEYER II (FW 4.6) running on a Dell
Dimension 8300 (Win XP SP3) - software is Router 7.7.0 and DX4Win Ver 8.03.

Trouble shooting has identified one area that I think is causing the problem
but don't know how to fix it.

When I go to Router=>options=>audio devices=>show list of audio devices - the
MicroHam CODEC is listed in each of the three columns: Wave Out, Wave In and
Mixer - for both Systems A & B.

In Wave Out, if I highlight the MicroHAM CODEC and click "Test", the "SC"
light comes on, a tone is generated and with each radio in USB mode, the PTT1
light comes on and RF is produced - for both Systems A & B.

However when I open DX4Win for each system and go to File => Preferences =>
Control and look in the PSK Sound Card window,
  (a) for System A, the microHAM CODEC is listed as an option and has been
chosen -
  (b) for System B, the microHAM CODEC is NOT listed as an option. The box
shows five other choices - default, SB Audigy 2 audio (CC40), Modem #1 Line
Record, Delta AP 1/2 and Delta AP Monitor. (The box is only big enough for 5
entries and I can't scroll down).

Assuming that not being able to choose the microHAM CODEC as the PSK sound
card for System B is causing the problem, what do I need to do to have DX4Win
recognize the microHAM CODEC?

Thoughts from anyone would be appreciated.

  Thanks & 73
