I had the same problem with AVAST, i disabled it for 10 min so i could
get the installer going ;)

Just to let you know I am fighting Norton AV. It keeps trying to
delete the new DX4WIN updater and I keep trying to restore it. It is
accusing the program of suspicious activity, and not many users. It
is running OK at the moment!
