I would go to Jim AD1C excellent website:
https://dx4win.ad1c.us/appnotes/lotw.html and follow his instructions.
There are slight differences between ver 9 and earlier versions but
you should be able to figure it out. Other wise email me and I will
put together a little checklist of how I do it.

well COVID is giving me time to do what should have been done a long
time ago  I have my LOTW file updated and loaded  to LOTW sucessfully
but never have figured how to get the LOTW confirmations into DX4WIN
Can I download an ADIF from LOTW and import it into DX4WIN will that
just do the QSL confirmations that were made on LOTW 
or is it done a dfferent way  my 2004 manual does not cover that
