Jim, I am running Windows XP Pro; I only have one HOSTS file installed (not counting the one that is located in the Dxbase folder).
My HOSTS file that Dxbase uses is located in the Windows directory string listed below. I am not too familiar with XP Home, and do not know the Windows directory structure in relationship to the XP Pro version. Ron ....... This is the HOSTS file that Dxbase looks at; not the one provided in the Dxbase directory. For a Windows XP machine the Hosts file is located at c:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc (assuming that you installed Windows XP on the 'C' drive).
