you can't 'paste' into a 'callsign' field not sure why but you can't. may have something to do with the callsign field excepting input from a DDE(?) linked program such as HamSoft where they will fill the data into DXBase. As a rtty/psk op, I normally 'import' the log from Writelog, MMTTY or WinWarbler into DXB after a session/contest.
As for those unwanted windows. Let them open, 'minimize' them, they will appear as a little title bar at the bottom left of the screen.
