JV, FYI, I have successfully run an IC-706MKII with DXB2005 and DXB2006. Not sure why yours is not working, but you don't mention your connections to the radio. Are you using the ACC jack on the back panel? On my 706MKII the ACC jack is a 13 pin connector which I couldn't find so I purchased Icom's overpriced OPC-599 conversion cable that breaks out into two ACC jacks for the various pin connections.
I must be the only guy in the world who uses LPT-1 on my computer to go to a printer! Since you have a RigBlaster, why are you taking CW off LPT-1? Why not just use the serial port connected to the RigBlaster to key the DTR line to the RigBlaster then feed the CW output to the radio? Anyway, just wanted to let you know it does work. Just have to find the magic button somewhere.
