If you have your database backed up I wouldn't think it would be a big deal at 
all.  Just re-install DXBase and then copy your data bases back into the 
program.   I have heard a few "tales of woe" from those who have failed to back 
up their mdb files, so at least you are not in that boat.

As far as Windows goes,  I personally format my hard drive and do a fresh 
install of Windows about once a year (or sooner if I notice programs running 
abnormally slow).    If you take this approach, delete all the programs you 
don't want before installing DXBase again.
