There are also info in the registry that are part of the installation setup.
For the second on com-ports, have you executed 'DXB Driver setup'? choosing
XP setup.

I did this with my dxb2007.ini file and it worked for me.
The file you need to copy to the Windows folder IS Dxb2007.ini NOT
dxbase2007.ini.
I had a problem with this naming when I was searching my Windows 7 computer
for the file,
all along I had been searching for the wrong file name. When I did find the
file for some reason
to start with it did not contain all the window size and color info. I had
to go back and find
another copy that did have all this info in it. Your .ini file should be
about 18K if it has all
the info. You can look at the file with notepad or WordPad to check for the
info.

Subject: [Dxbase] Configuration Data?

Aargh! I am trialing my hamshack computer with Windows 7. I have installed
DXBase 2007 and everything is working fine, except that it is so far not
seeing my serial port (which is actually a pci card with two serial ports).
But that is for another day. My main problem is that none of the
configuration data is working, so I am once again going to have to spend
hours getting the screen sizes, colors, shapes, fonts, etc. configured the
way I like them. I have NEVER been able to move configuration from one
install of DXBase to another. I copied all of the .co and .ini files from
the old installation. I copied the dxbase2007.ini file to the Windows
folder. Can anyone think of something I might have forgotten to copy?

TIA,
Stan W4AG
