Is the serial port you are trying to use now USB To Serial? What chip set does it use? Do you have the latest drivers from the chip set manufacture for it?

However, I just configured it manually again and it didn't take too long. I tried the DXB Driver Setup and designated XP, but Win 7 is still not seeing the serial ports. When I boot up the same computer with a drive running Vista, it sees the serial ports just fine. There are also info in the registry that are part of the installation setup.
