Bill and others, Got it fixed. How dumb...I forgot to go into device manager and change the Win 7 default port settings from 9600 to 57600. Now everything is hunky dory: DXBase is running fine, is interfacing properly with the N4PY control software for my Orion, and also interfacing properly with the VE7CC AR User telnet program. During my searches I did see the info about the xp compatibility mode that they are working on, but I am glad I won't have to use it, at least for these programs.

It is a NetMos pci card with two serial ports on the back. Win 7 automatically recognized it as a NetMos and assigned drivers. When I try to update the drivers using the CD that came with the board, Win 7 refuses and says that the most current drivers are already installed. A search on the NetMos site shows no downloadable drivers but rather links to third-party companies that either charge for the drivers or force you to download their driver monitoring program. I may have to bite the bullet and pay a few bucks, although I have a feeling that what I download will be the same as what is on the CD already. The ports work fine with Vista. 73, Stan W4AG ______________________________________________________________ Dxbase mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dxbase Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
