Ok how come it took you so long to post this :)... Hey I was an 05 user forever was it called 05 then ? I didnt see anything new that excited me and id drifted off to other hobby's. Ive still got the other hobby's but I drifted back to amateur radio (by the way i got my 335 and honor roll stickers today from the ARRL..) and im glad i came back. Of course it was different a year ago when I got back as I still had a full time job and money wasnt an issue. I decided to buy my proIII and then I upgraded Dxbase . I was happy I did that but I still saw no great big deal about the new version but its done and no regrets.. Its going to be harder to upgrade to 2010 mjust because I dont have a job so im hoping neal makes it really big on the new version :).. Ill cash in my emptys if I have to :) Dave N8DC

Beats me, maybe they read the list of improvements and didn't see anything worth the upgrade price. I can understand in fact. After you cover the basics, its sometimes hard to get excited about a bunch of new stuff you will never use (when DX4WIN added MMTTY from within the program I yawned so much I could hardly stay awake!) I also think some of them were not active in the hobby when 2007 came out and have just gotten interested again and are now waiting for 2010. You don't ever have to worry about me reading anything sinister or negative in any of your email missives! As I have said before, I really do not have a temper, especially about this stuff. If I don't like a customer, I will refund their money and they will never hear from me again. 3 weeks ago I woke up at 9am (sri, us retired guys can sleep pretty late!) and checked my mail and there is one entitled "Where is my g*ddamn software" (no lie). I figured someone ordered something that I had let slide thru the cracks so I cautiously opened it. Turned out this guy in Maryland ordered DXBase at 405am and the email was threatening to raise a conflict with Paypal and report me to the Better Business Bureau because he did not have his registration code five hours later! So I wrote him back, telling him I had refunded his money and sri that I was asleep at 405am. He wrote back that it was unacceptable to have a 1 person company and pretend like I was a global business (??) and that only mere mortals slept anymore (that is a quote). I responded with a "Thanks for considering DXBase" and added him to my blacklist for the trash and that was it. I suspect the guy is either a substance abuser or needs some meds but it seemed sad/funny instead of making me mad. I figured it was the best refund I had ever made of someone's money. But, I find people very smart and helpful and prefer to expect the best out of them rather than the worst (and I am seldom disappointed)! You are just the type of person I like, speak your mind, aren't mean or self-centered and helping to get to a solution. When I was working, thats the type of people I surrounded myself with, sometimes they would see me do something stupid and tell me so (and they were always right!)
