Gary, Here is one work-around. Instead of using "Find Next", use "Find All". This will list the cell where the item is. Scroll down to the cell number. This isn't very elegant, but it works.
Using F2 to edit the cell worked for me, as did doing the edit in the formula bar at the top of the sheet.
