Thanks to all who have replied. The suggestion below from Jim N6VH at the DXBase reflector works. As a matter of fact "Find All" found I had made a mistake in assigning YB8EL to Sumatra, which is only for YB4, 5, or 6. Turns out YB8 actually goes to Celebes and Molucca Islands with a 1937 prefix of PK6. I've corrected my error, but would never have caught it without using "Find All" to produce the entire list of hits on Indonesia.
Unfortunately, as Jim mentions, it isn't possible to jump directly to any of the line items in the list produced by "Find All". Rather you must scroll up or down to get to the various lines to see which one is the correct one for your entry. Fortunately the list of finds can be kept open for reference while scrolling about checking the various possibilities. 73, Gary AL9A ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Preston" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: January 10, 2012 6:26 AM Subject: Re: [Dxbase] ARRL Diamond DXCC Award > Gary, > > Here is one work-around. I must close the FIND window to edit the page. If I make a mistake on a box I just go back to the box and hit delete and enter every thing for that box again. Works similar to the CQ marathon submittal form. The sheet is protected in OpenOffice, but the Find works anyway. I haven't been using Excel much lately, so I don't know if there is a way around your problem (without unprotecting the cell), but it seems like a nice feature on the part of OO.
