Fred,

Since you have been fighting this dilemma -- ever since you got that new 
motherboard/computer --
it might well be time to simply do the following to prove a point:

(1) Download and install one of the FREE "other" logging programs ... See what 
you stats
read on that program ... are they still messed-up ?? If YES -- then time to get 
a new 'puter ...

(2) Get a friend to let you borrow their computer .. and load up DXbase (your 
own DXbase)
on THAT computer -- stats NOT messed-up ?? If they are OK -- then it is again 
time to
buy a new computer ...

NOTE:  Just for the heck of it -- have we had you (even though you are running 
XP)
setup the Properties of the LINK and DXbase exe file so that they are "Run as 
adminstrator" ..
