the DOM standard clearly describes how objects look, and how they behave
(and how to create new elements) if browser support the real standard.. it
should work no-problemo.. but they keep coming up with things they like
differently, or they don't think are used (in case of opera I imagine this
is the case), so much for standards :-)
and for flame discussions, I still stand at my point of everyone drop your
browser code, leave it alone.. let Microsoft take care of setting a
standard, and simply make a browser that REALLY works 100% like it.. and
there you have it: a standard.. I'm not a Microsoft enthousiast (jeez, the
things they did with Corel.. unbelievable!) but they have the power to
set/force standards, so use it to your own advantage.
Standards, a nice word, but a very empty one.
