Who said 'too advanced' ?!?!

The issue isn't weather this shouldbe used in the DynAPI,
MY concern was in adding it to browser.js.

WE don't need it right now, altho, I'm sure some people would like to see it in an extension.

We don't currently support opera, or very many other browsers..

Why is everyone wanting to detect browsers we don't support?

Why are people not more concerned with making what we have NOW work NOW,
and stop fucking living two weeks from now.

Yes, yes. It's noice to say 'we would like to..' or, 'in the future we should'..

but what about right-fucking-now?

RIGHT NOW, We have major problems with resizing in NS.
RIGHT NOW, we have a very serious memory leak issue in IE.
RIGHT NOW, there are still functionalities that seem pretty damned standard for PC implementations, that STILL don't work on MAC.

RIGHT NOW, I am getting REAL tired of people arguing the future when at present, we still haven't met all of the goals set out in the past.

Subject: [Dynapi-Dev] Re: [ dynapi-Patches-407882 ] Browser.js Recommended Upgrade

Some say its over the top, others complain because it's 3 times larger, when
it simply fits the purpose of the DynAPI.

From my point of view, btw its probably biased since I submitted the code,
there is no signifigant increase in execution time and it will fix several
bugs with detecting various browsers and will also help us to properly adapt
the DynAPI to other browsers and platforms.  So anyone complaining about the
length of code or the fact that it is 'too advanced' should take a closer
look at the purpose of developing cross-browser and cross-platform code.
This is just my opinion and shouldn't be interpreted as flaming or anything
else.  My intention is only to show that if the code isn't implemented the
DynAPI will not be detecting the browsers or platforms correctly.
