The Online Flash Film Festival is currently being held in Barcelona.
World wide recognized Flash gurus show their works, give some speaks and
share their thoughts about the future of web designing and where are
things going. I'm attending some of the events ( hey, company is paying
and I got a cool bag ).

Ironicaly, while DHTMLs are tryning to move from notepad to Wysywig and
timelined web building, flashers are going down to dirty and dangerous
coding practices. Joshua Davies ( www.praystation.com ) talked about
abandoning the idea of linear movies and building systems, closed
environments where the programmer generates several items which react to
what happens close to them, and then let them evolve and move by
themselves.

Of course flash is best suitable for movies, but when it comes to webs
and interfaces, cutting-edge flashers are moving towards where we are:
having objects that react to certain events and are placed in a given
space, which is the web space. Lots of code has been shown, and little
timelines.

I can't help smiling at these things. Just so ironic.
