For fonts you should be able to define regular CSS tags.

#big {font-size:30pt}

<span class="big">Big Text</span>

For crashing, don't worry about it too much.  I noticed Netscape was crashing a lot 
also, but after switching to inline crashes it's pretty darned stable, hasn't crashed 
on me thus far (in Netscape 4.76/Linux) even after literally dozens of reloads.
