Not sure if this will help, but are you using inline style declarations an
id/class delcarations on the same page? I ran into a problem like this once
before, and it went away after I got rid of all the inline styles. Evidently
Netscape can't handle it if you use both approaches on the same page, at
least when it comes to layers.
