Screw Exceed. Micro XWin32 4.01 from StarNet Communications is available as
a demo which allows one session to run on any particular network. There is
no expiry date for this demo, and the ONLY limitation is that it quits
after two hours... I have used Enlightenment over ethernet and it works
fine, except that the text on things like window title bars and the startup
screen text doesn't show (is there a fix for this?). Speed is just fine,
but will be better than when I upgrade to 100Mb/s ethernet... :o) I use
this in combination with virtual windows so I can flick from Windows to
Unix nice and fast. IMHO, if you are using ethernet, processor speed, RAM,
and video performance are far more of a bottleneck than the bandwidth
created by Enlightenment (except of course, when lots of people are using
the network at the same time... :o).

Also, check out VNC from www.orl.co.uk. VNC is a collection of programs
with the intention of allowing any OS's desktop on any other OS's desktop.
The nice people at VNC have even GPL'd this software and I have to say it
ROCKS!!! I can access my Windows machines from my Linux box and vice-versa.
People have ported it to such things as Palm Pilots! (X on a Palm Pilot -
Yes! But I wouldn't try Enlightenment, though I'm sure it can be done...).

Best regards to all
