Depends on your network.  My X server happens to be on the same
subnet as my PC, and 100 MBit Ethernet kicks ass.... :)

Not necessarily.  Exceed offers a full-screen mode that, except for the
hidden WinNT taskbar, looks just like an X login.

Believe me, if it weren't for having to run Office and Notes, I wouldn't
be doing it this way.  I even tried Notes for UNIX.  It sucked.
