I originally used libpng.0.96 from RH 5.0 with Imlib v1.4 and had the
problemwith transparency/shape problem; then I upgrade to latest version of
libpng-1.0.1.tar.gz (libpng.so.2.1.0) and STILL have the same problem.

Here is my printout of shared library dependencies for "enl14":
 % ldd enl.14/e/src/enlightenment
        libX11.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.so.6 (0x40005000)
        libXext.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libXext.so.6 (0x4009c000)
        libesd.so.0 => /usr/local/lib/libesd.so.0 (0x400a7000)
        libFnlib.so.0 => /usr/local/lib/libFnlib.so.0 (0x400aa000)
        libImlib.so.1 => /usr/local/lib/libImlib.so.1 (0x400b2000)
        libpng.so.2 => /usr/local/lib/libpng.so.2 (0x400d1000)
        libgif.so => /usr/lib/libgif.so (0x400f2000)
        libjpeg.so.62 => /usr/local/lib/libjpeg.so.62 (0x400fd000)
        libm.so.6 => /lib/libm.so.6 (0x4011a000)
        libXtst.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libXtst.so.6 (0x40133000)
        libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x40138000)
        /lib/ld-linux.so.2 => /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x00000000)

Everything seems OK, but I still get that RED Background on the
window decorations.
