I had the idea myself, but you do now, that ldd just dumps the following line: tim@edge:/home/tim > ldd /usr/local/lib/libImlib.so libc.so.5 => /lib/libc.so.5 (0x40028000) (and what I need on my system is: -lX11 -lXext -lm -ltiff -ljpeg) This is a problem with libtools, I think. Older versions of libtools added the references to depended libraries (Why and whatever it did). -- Gruß...
