Which flavor of linux? The OSes that Jeff was talking about weren't linux.
FreeBSD & OpenBSD are flavors of Unix. Unix isn't a perfect system. It can
be hacked. However, FreeBSD & OpenBSD won't crash under their own
volition. The unix & linux OSes are much more stable than anything MS has
produced.

Not really... It may be that we turn a blind eye towards the few good
things about MS. This comes from having to constantly deal with all the
massive shortcomings of MS systems. When MS does produce something of
value, it is just hard to believe based upon track record.
We can't see the diamonds for the fact that they're sitting in a
overwhelming dung heap.
