Hi Jim, As we can see, the difference between the effort and expense required to delete a never used account, possibly even one created in error, and the small effort and negligible cost of creating it guarantees that the number of dormant accounts will increase forever.
Could e-gold add a button inside the account management interface that says "I want to delete this dormant account!"? I'm not talking about my own account, Jim! ;) Indeed, the person has to have the password to manage the account, and no notarized documents are required to *open* the account so it does not make sense to require such an elaborate account closure method in every case. Maybe the button could be good for previously funded accounts (people die, retire, become incapacitated, companies clubs and associations fold) also, perhaps with the provision that the account can only be closed in the calendar month AFTER the funds minus out-exchange fees are withdrawn.
