Hello!! Yes the entire thing happens through e-gold. Our primary reason for doing things this way was to eliminate the risk of forged or intercepted emails but there are other benefits too.
THe escrow service is a side project to something else we are working on that integrates value and information flows in startling new ways! Your email idea sounds interesting Mr. Ziegler-I suppose it would have to compete with hushmail. Mobile-capable would be cool. There is at least one e-currency out there that has a built in email service-sorry can�t remember which one (it�s in my database somewhere). The things we could have done if e-gold had a larger memo field!! ;-) We think the biggest problem escrow services face at the moment is trust. If we define: Credibility=Can they find you? Reputation=Have you been trustworthy in the past? Security=Are your doors locked? Trust=Credibility + Reputation + Security There is obviously a trade off between credibility and security as defined above: If customers can find your front door, so can lock pickers. We have veered towards the side of security rather than credibility for this project, but for some of our other projects we will go the other way. PS can I make a big plug for cyberica as a host?
